Hi, I’m Jennifer!

It all started out in the garden. A love for flowers developed into a passion for growing organically and sharing the bounty with my community.

When my family of 4 moved to Redwood Heights in Oakland, our new home’s spring garden was brimming with flowers, fruit trees, and foliage, specimens that I’d never seen before, let alone grown. So after a dry season and many trials and tribulations, I set out to train myself as a gardener and novice horticulturalist - learning everything I could about what we were growing here. Before I knew it, I was obsessed with all things gardening, filling my little cottage garden with as many varieties as possible!

Our garden-style designs reflect what I see in the garden as I potter around and ponder what to sow, grow, pick and prune. As an interior designer, my eye for detail, color, and composition naturally brought me to floral design and creating arrangements for my wonderful neighbors, friends, and my daughter’s school functions. From there, Redwood Wild Florals was born in 2020 (the craziest year of our lives) and has evolved into a local small business whose goal is to bring smiles to you and your loved ones with flowers that are local, seasonal, and sustainable with organic blooms, foraged foliage and recycled vessels. See our sustainability page for more about how important this is to our business.

When not in the garden or studio, you can find me exploring the local redwood forests with my family, practicing yoga, reading book club picks, paddle boarding, or adventuring throughout the West and beyond.

More to bloom!
